Generally I just crave soup. Heat to boiling. This soup will get its velvety texture from the potatoes, not cream. Add water and broth; carry to a full of life simmer over high warmth. My husband prefers to have soups without the dairy (he saves he can savor the ingredients better) so I leave the cream out and add it to our bowls.
